## What it is

A part-by-part teardown of the Unitree Go2 robot dog, read from 68 pages of laboratory teardown photographs of a test unit, with every part rebuilt in 3D in the browser. Each part is marked Read (the name is printed on it and legible), Matched (identified another way, explained) or Hidden (Unitree ground the markings off).

## Facts

- Main board: "712 MAIN BOARD-RK V0.21", dated 2023/6/17, with leg-bus connectors FR, FL, RL, RR and a battery link marked B_485.
- Computer: a plug-in core board "XF_RK_Core_Board_V10" silkscreened 8+64G (8 GB memory, 64 GB storage). Its chip tops are ground blank on the Go2; the identical board in the 2025 Unitree humanoid reads Rockchip RK3588S.
- 4G: Quectel EG25-G mini PCIe card with a Qualcomm MDM9207 modem, Nanya NM1282KSLAXAL-3B memory, Qualcomm WTR2965 transceiver and Qorvo 77031/77033 amplifiers.
- Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth: Realtek RTL8852BU on an LB-Link BL-M8852BU1 module, with Rainsun antennas.
- Remote radio board "YS.PPRF 23" with a 2401C front end; a LoRa antenna is also fitted. Main chips ground blank.
- UWB positioning board with four antennas for follow mode; chips ground blank.
- Twelve outrunner brushless leg motors, three per leg, each with its own driver board "M12_MDRV_V1.9.1" dated 2023/5/10.
- A smaller motor with a board marked "LD BOT V0.2.6", most likely the head LiDAR spin motor (inferred, not printed on the part).
- Cooling: two 12 V DC brushless blower fans by Shenzhen Zhuoming Electronics.

### What processor does the Unitree Go2 use?

A Rockchip RK3588S, an 8-core Arm chip with a built-in AI accelerator, on a plug-in core board marked XF_RK_Core_Board_V10 with 8 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage. The chip tops on the Go2 are ground blank, but the same core board appears in Unitree's 2025 humanoid with its markings intact.

### Does the Unitree Go2 have 4G?

The unit that was taken apart has a Quectel EG25-G 4G LTE card built on a Qualcomm MDM9207 modem, pushed into a mini PCIe socket on the main board. It also carries Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth (Realtek RTL8852BU), UWB and a separate long-range radio for the remote.

### How many motors does the Go2 have?

Twelve leg motors, three per leg. Each is an outrunner brushless motor with its own round driver board (marked M12_MDRV_V1.9.1, dated 2023/5/10) mounted inside the joint, so the main computer sends commands over a bus instead of driving motor current itself.
